COMMUNITY TEAM BUILDING – MATERIALS STILL NEEDED

Dear Families,

We are happy to announce that our students will meet with their Community Team Building groups on April 16th to cooperatively design and then build their ideal Amusement Park.  These activities support our Science and Technology curriculum and STEM exploration across all grades.  Your child will come home with a list of reusable materials that will help them bring their vision to life.  We would appreciate if you could help them gather the materials on their list for the 2 remaining sessions (April 23 and May 1).  In the meantime, we would also happily accept donations for the following:

Materials we are collecting:

  • Recycled cardboard
  • Recycled newsprint
  • Plasticine
  • Straws
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Decorative items (ie. Pompoms, stickers, beads)

SIP AND SHARE REMINDERS

We will be gathering on Thursday, April 16th from 8:15 -9:30 a.m.  Parents, guardians and grandparents are all welcome to attend and you can choose if you prefer to be a quiet listener or an active participant. We want everyone to feel comfortable. We are pleased that Terri Keay, a social worker from York Hills, will be joining us once again.  We hope to see you this week!
