AUTISM ACCEPTANCE MONTH
Thornhill Public School will once again be participating in Autism Acceptance Month activities. The planning committee has a number of activities planned across the whole school this month. COMMUNITY TEAM BUILDING – MATERIALS NEEDED
Dear Families,
We are busy preparing another series of school-wide Community Building events and we need your help. We are collecting new and recycled materials for a special project that will continue to support our STEM learning. Students are welcome to bring in items starting Monday March 23rd. Thank you in advance for your support!
Materials we are collecting:
- Recycled cardboard
- Recycled newsprint
- Plasticine
- Straws
- Popsicle sticks
- Pipe cleaners
- Decorative items (ie. Pompoms, stickers, beads)
MARK YOUR CALENDARS – SIP AND SHARE
It was wonderful to see our families at our last “Sip and Share” gathering in March. We had a great discussion about mental health, and we are planning to continue these important discussions on Thursday, April 16th from 8:15 -9:30 a.m. Parents, guardians and grandparents are all welcome to attend and you can choose if you prefer to be a quiet listener or an active participant. We want everyone to feel comfortable. We are pleased that Terri Keay, a social worker from York Hills, will be joining us once again. We hope to see you on April 16th!
