TULIP PLANTING DAY!
As part of our growing school garden, all classes will participate in a tulip planting activity on Tuesday, October 6 (weather permitting). Each student will have the opportunity to plant a tulip bulb in our school garden, helping to create a beautiful display for our community to enjoy in the spring.
This planting is the next step in a gardening journey that began earlier this year with our pumpkin crop. Students have been learning about planting, growing, and caring for our garden, and classes are currently working on an exciting project connected to the pumpkins we harvested. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!
As students will be working outdoors and handling soil, please ensure your child is dressed in comfortable clothing and footwear that can get a little dirty.
A special thank you to our School Council for helping to coordinate and fundraise for this initiative, and to parent volunteers Courtney Lieberman and Ainslee Hertzberg for supporting and leading the planting activities.
We can't wait to see our tulips bloom next spring and to continue growing meaningful learning experiences through our school garden.
SPIRIT DAY – PYJAMA DAY!
On Friday, October 9th, before Thanksgiving weekend, we will be hosting a PYJAMA DAY! Your child is encouraged to wear pyjamas or any comfy clothing to school on October 9th. We look forward to seeing everyone for a cozy Friday before the long weekend!
Regards,
Ms. DiMatteo’s class
